RYA Safety Boat
The course provides background knowledge and practical skills for powerboat drivers who are providing safety and rescue cover for dinghies, windsurfers, canoes/ kayaks and other watercraft and racing and training fleets.
Students must be competent powerboat drivers and present a Power boat level 2 certificate before the course.
The maximum ratio of students: instructor is 6:1 in two boats. The minimum age is 16 years.
The RYA Safety Boat handbook is available for £10 and is recommended.
The course fees include a certificate for successful students.
