Traditional Rafting is a great activity for Explorers, Scouts and Cubs and involves to varying degrees team work, ingenuity, pioneering and fun. Unlike Sailing, Pulling or canoeing there is no National body for this activity but it is an Activity that a scout activity permit is required for. In order to ensure that we meet POR requirements we have developed a standard check list and assessment procedure to help leaders get a relevant permit which will enable them to run the activity with their unit.
A training course is run annually and we have a number of assessors who are keen to enable you to undertake traditional rafting safely and in compliance with POR water.
